early xmas

After dreaming dreams full of debates, pundits, flag pins and making out with Cindy McCain..I woke up feeling like it was Christmas morning.  It feels like 5 years since this election started and can I get an Amen that its finally over!?  I don’t think I can take 1 more campaign commercial.  Besides practicing my civic duty and getting a free cup of Starbucks coffee, the fact its all over is I think the greatest gift to the country.

After taking care of a few things this morning, Deirdre and I headed to our old middle school to vote.  There were no lines to wait in.  Apparently we missed em by about 7 hours.  I was definitely excited and proud to vote.  I filled out the bubble for Obama as carefully as possible.  I’m glad we didn’t have electronic machines, I can’t trust those things.  I heard about some small trouble around the country with them, nothing big though.

Tonight I’ll be watching and celebrating America downtown at D’mongos, should be a good time.

Please take part in my poll.

Amen. There was a line when Jeremy and I arrived in our pajamas at 6:50 this morning, but I think that added to the excitement. I think my favorite part is how happy people seem today. It seems like the first chance we’ve gotten to be optimistic in a long time. Go America. GObama.
