Have you ever seen a soccer movie?
Well, 2 of the last handful of films I’ve seen were. The Damned United and Rudy y Cursi. Both pretty good I thought, except for one thing- little to no actual game being played. For instance, build up and build up to such n such game, walk through the tunnel, cut to score and locker room(!). Maybe I’m just a sports movie purist, but can a guy get a little PT?
Is this just for soccer movies? I think every other sport movie I’ve seen has a substantial amount of said sport being played in it, maybe to add drama, violence, perhaps added suspense and tension between old foes. Maybe its just tough to film a soccer scene, the field is pretty huge after all. In any case, if I don’t see some playing next time, I’m gonna be mildly upset.
In other futból news, what the what happened with Ireland v France. Not cool Henry. I support a re-match.

adventureland
I saw ‘Adventureland’ today. This review explains things a lot better than I can. Here.
If you like Bill Hader and/or Kristen Wiig, go for it. If not, its a bit long and run of the mill.
