it's paddytime

Hi friends,

Most of the time when I try to go running, I have to remind myself that it will feel good or whatever for motivation.  Well it’s Fall(ish) and the weather’s nice and cool, which makes me more convinced to get my shoes on and go.  Plus I’m not working right now, so it helps to make me feel like I’m doing something useful with my day. 

So..

Today, I thought about biking all the way to Rochester to run at the Paint Creek trail but changed my mind considering it would probably take a few hours and will kill my legs.  So I had a nice leisurely drive down Adams and got there with the sun still high. 

Gattdayum this trail is lovely.  I meant to run till I got to this horse stable thing, but either didn’t see/smell it, or just didn’t run far enough.  Either way, I was down about 5 miles, past the sweet smell of some cider mill, when I realised my car key that I put in my shoe laces had fallen off somewhere along the way.  Holy crap, I says to myself.  So there I was lightly jogging/walking back searching the ground for this key for 4-ish miles.  With the sun shining and nature goodness ‘n all, it was hard to complain.  Plus, I thought, if I didn’t see it, I could call ol’ Pops and get the spare.  One guy saw that I was searching for something and offered his metal detector. 

So I called to get the other key.  While I waited I went into the police station to use the bathroom.  I asked the officer behind the desk by chance if somebody found a key, and wouldn’t you know it there it was!  We were both pretty shocked.  Made my day.
