Winter Blues?

Apparently the groundhog said there’ll be another long winter. Although for the past few days here in Michigan it wouldn’t seem that way, trust me-the cold harsh darkness will continue.
You may have found yourself not leaving the house, sleeping all day, or preferring to listen to “nothing compares to you” by Sinead O’Connor on repeat instead of doing anything productive. If so, you might have a case of seasonal affective disorder, or S.A.D.
If so, you could go get “light therapy” where doctors shine bright lights at you..or you could try some of these activities that I think could help cure the Wintertime blues.
- Discover The Lonely Island
- Learn how to snowboard
- Drink comforting tea
- Play with puppies
- Sign up for a race, then do it.
- Sing karaoke with me on Saturday nights. Or..
- Sing in the shower: I suggest Katy Perry or the Scissor Sisters
- Museums!
We all have our bad days, just don’t let it stretch into weeks or months..before you know it you’ll be crying while you eat, and nobody wants that. Good luck keepin on the bright side of life folks.
