Mission Impossible

Ok. I’m not a Tom Cruise freak or anything, I just had to get my thoughts out on this…
I’ve seen Mission Impossible a handful of times. I don’t know why. It seems like every time, there’s some part I miss and I end up not fully understanding the plot. I mostly just enjoy Ving Rhames.

Mission Impossible 2 I’ve only seen once. I so thoroughly disliked it, I knew it wouldn’t pull me in again like the first one. It could’ve been the director, John Woo-known for other greats like Chu Ba and The Robinsons: Lost in Space. I really don’t know..it just didn’t do anything for me. Except that first scene with the rock climbing, that was OK.

Tonight, I watched the 3rd installment. I’m a little late on this one, it came out in ’06. I just never thought it was worth it. Boy was I wrong! What a thrill ride. I actually yelled at the actors to do stuff (then laughed at myself). What got me watching was the fact that Philip Seymour Hoffman is in the cast. I’m a big fan, and for some reason he’s all over the place these days, right? Secondly, it was directed by J.J.Abrams, mostly known for co-creating LOST. Way better than a nutty action director.

OK, so if you’re having a slow night, go rent Missions Impossible 1 & 3, then tell me what you think.
