I’m writing from the great city of Philadelphia.
The main purpose of my visit is to hang with Kristin, of Phancy in Philly fame. My timing couldn’t have been more perfect. First off, its Halloween time..We went to a fun bar that has a fascination for PBR, a party at someone’s place that included many interesting folks, then we hit up the Barbary for Madonna Michael Prince night, where DJ Deejay only plays music by those artists, it was a non-stop dancing good time. I had some trouble figuring out what to be for the holiday, I ended up being “the 70s” but that pretty much was the wild and crazy guys character from SNL, not bad I guess. There were a lot of fun costumes to be seen around the city.
Yesterday was also the Phillies championship parade. They won the world series incase you didn’t know. Word was that nearly 2 million people attended, I can believe that. It was definitely fun and sweet to be a part of, the only thing was that my heart wasn’t in the celebration, I yearned for it to a Tigers parade. Maybe next year.
Its nice to be in Philly right now, considering the upcoming election and all. Cradle of America, birthplace of democracy and so on. I’ve seen no sign for support of McCain here save the occasional costume, peeps are ready to rock the Obama vote like crazy. I shall do the same upon my return.
Hope all is well with you.
